My Cebu Sojourn

what i'm gonna share here is my experience going to cebu city for our duty exposure.
..go Sam,, as you can see, he’s at the top because he’s helping the jeepney driver in arranging our luggage so it won’t fall down. In this photo were kim(the one who’s busy with her bag), ian(the rocker chuchu)J, lyssa(the cute one with her very own pink jacket)Claire and carren(all out smiling inside he jeepney, leigh  (the promoter of the jeepney<char>), levie(with while reading glass na hindi naman sa kanya)neil(the one with cap), and cristine(carrying he dog) and the girl wih he veil a he back whom actually I do not know.. haha

..bayanihan talaga kami ano.. si leigh bigay na bigay sa ginagawa niya. Go leigh… I’m so happy I am one wih his group.. haha ako naman ay isang hamak na photographer lang..

..aja Ian and Rodrigo .yakang yaka niyo iyan.. in this situation there’s no way we would fight for gender equality. Since you have the mind and he body.. go.. you WIN

Cyndi,Sid and Lady are all out smiling but Rodrigo?? Are you sleeping or what?? This picture was taken actually at the jeepney when we’re already heading towards Iligan City.

.. In this photo :lady, ian, Claire, carren, neil. You like their smiles?? Ow,, don’ get bored. In the next photos they’re still smiling. That’s the spirit of the DEEPS. In every click, always show the teeth..

Kima and I were so close in this photo. She’s really a wonderful person in every way. So generous, so loving so attracted with Neil. Oppps, I’m not supposed to say it. Well, it’s from my own perspective e based on what she talks about Neil. No matter what Kim feels for him, I’ll just be at her side, supporting…

This photo was taken when we were on the boat already. Neil and I were supposed to be bedmate here. Because his last name is Alviar and mine is Aguilar, But Regina asked to exchange with her that is why we’re together in his photo. I do not know what time this photo was taken all I know is it’s dinner time because in here I’m already holding my cup noodles. I’ve eaten so much this night. We bought food from the Jollibee plus lots of chips, and breads. Thank God I didn’t have any GI upset. And the entire night I was just sleeping reaching the deepest REM I’ve never had since the final exams and activities in our college bombarded me. AWPP;;
.. Oh, Kim and Sarah were so happy bu Levie is just so dedma. Hai,, these people are really something..
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

March 26, 2011.. Welcome back to Cebu City. After more than a year we are here again.. Smiling for a shot even without taking a full bath..hehe..Actually, we have been to Cebu before. If I’m not mistaken I was last August 2009. But I have no pictures of it already because the file was corrupted. So sad, I could no longer show you how we look like before, when we were still young and innocent. Char//

..Lady and Kristofer are always together because they’re really together.. Haha.. Actually, Lady and Krsiofer were good friends until their friendship went deeper..i’m very happy for both of them because they stayed for a very long time despite the challenges that came in their way. Rudy Gel Kim’s is our co-scholar before. We’re so sad when we know that she faled because we know that she’s more deserving than some of our batchmates who passed just because they cheat. Gel is a very kind and honest person that is why we coudn’t believe she would fail.Despite the circumstances that happened, our relationship with her didn’t turn any less. She still sleeps in our room andeat with us. Still the same, still friends. Her family were so kind to us. We sleep in their house whenever we’re in Iligan City. We surf in the’r internet for free and we also eat at their house for free. Nakikisama pa kami sa budget. I’m so glad for with our friendship. No matter what happens, we’re still together.

Iyong mga nakisingit naman sa likod… They are Honey and Yande, the brains of the batch, Fortunately, we have so many brainy in our batch (except me). Yande and Honey always top the exam and lead he group in every group requirements. You’re so lucky if you are wth them just make sure you’re also king a part. They are our potential NLE topnotchers. Very smart, talented and creative. Beside Srah, is Sid the batch’s pres when we were in second year. Eventough he’s no longer our leader, he’s still leading the group. Because of his creativity, and authoritarian personality, he can do mandates He’s the reason behind the success of every backdraft and decorations. In between lady and Krsitof is their master, Ian  the creative leader who never complains whether his subordinates follow him or not. Coz if not, he’d rather do the job alone. He’s been a consistent dean’s lister and a new member of ours in he scholarship program. He has so many savings in his two accounts but he keeps on denying it. Nakikisama rin sa drama naming mg walang pera. Ian is so kind, and full of humour. He’s one of the clowns in our batch in his own simple way,

My MSU DEEP-Nursing family in the Maxwell Hotel's lobby

office girl? being an office girl is my frustration. i really of wearing an executive attire and going to many places around the world for business trips. however, instead of wearing an elegant black business suit, i'm wearing now the white noble uniform of a nurse. i don't also know why i end up in nursing but i'm hoping that if this is really God's will, i'll be able to perform my job well with love, enthusiasm and compassion to all people sick or well.

we're inside the van when i took this picture. actually, we're going to the DBP to withdraw our allowances and payment for the hotel.

Neuro Exposure + Dinner at McDonald's

me and hannie in this picture

on the other side: kami pa rin ni hannie. just at  the different angle

chap jasmeen, ian, hannie and me :). ian was supposed to read his physical assessment tool this time. but we insisted to request a shot.

i was the one who took this picture kaya maganda. (yabang hehe) this is our last duty in vicente sotto memorial medical center in cebu city. our last area was the neuro ward. the most toxic and tiresome but the most challenging and self fulfilling among all the wards i've been through. in here i've experinced the best bed bath and bedside care i've ever done to my patient. i was having fun learning and working with my co-SN form St. Michael's College, Iligan City. Our schools also merged during the ward class. there are some flaws but we were able to handle it well. Ma'am Tash was also very competent in handling us, her students.

in this picture i asked someone from the station to take photo for us. kapal ko talaga. cge lang. buutan bitaw siya. hehe

My Groupmates

Here are my groupmates when i was having my duty in Cebu City for the psychia, ortho, and neuro exposures. they were my best buddies during my ups and downs. they were my right and left hands. they were the ones who shared with me wonderful ideas for the benefit of our patient.i learned a lot form them. my learning experiences were worth keeping because of them. i will never forget them.

these pictures were taken inside our very small room. it has two bed capacities but since we're students and we can't afford the rent for two, the hotel offered as an option to occupy the room with other two roommates. i wasn't use to be in a very wide room but at least i was used to sleep soundly in my own bed. in this room we were two in a single size bed and my bedmate was taller and bigger than me. on the other hand, the month passed without our consciousness. we enjoyed the experiences and the "i dare you" challenges.

section I rocks. before taking this picture the cameraman told us to be serious so i was also serious in here just to realize some were at their all out smile.
me at the center with two honeys on my both sides. hannie sampao on the left and hannie iggo on the right. hannie sampao by the way was one of my roommate. she was one of the coolest person i've ever met. so bubbly, witty and smart. i enjoy every day with her on my side.
herzy's the one in the center. she's so silent but smart too. she's so sweet and i like her very much. wish i cud have some of her sweet and charming personality. hehe

look so stressed?not so. in fact we're very happy given an opportunity to meet the family of our new found friend in cebu. i have to protect her idntity so i will no longer expound the story regarding this picture.
me and my muslim friends in mcdonald's in escario st. cebu city. the street that will never be erased in my mind. this branch of mcdo is very special to me coz every time i feel so exhausted i just buy one mcfloat and my day becomes so bright.

RH Bill issue

after my utmost effort to post the url of the site that i've been spending my overnyt with all he has to say is "yes"? maybe he didn't really bother to read the article as well as the arguments in there. still i'm still hurt whenever he continues to fight that the RH Bill shud be passed. if ever he'll share with me his point of view regarding the issue for sure he will talk about more on the legal issues and the good side of the bill but not on the inconsistencies.
i'm still not confident with my english literacy that is why i still feel so awkward chatting with him.he might criticize my grammar. and if ever i will talk to him in our native tongue i guess i have to use the private message than post it on his wall. he might be too conceited. i don't know him that much personally and arguing with him might be the beginning of the collision of our mind and principles.
i should prepare. but i should also limit the topic that we will discuss. if he's agree that premarital sex should only be done within the context of marriage maybe that's the beginning of our fruitful arguments.

msu-gsc

May 29, 2011. I arrived at Mindanao State University General Santos City campus with my brother who's also studying there. I'd like to visit his school because i want to observe my brother and i'd also wanted to visit my best friend gemmarie gumbio. i was so glad because even though their school is so hot and the buildings are too far from one another i still enjoyed the experience of meeting many other wonderful people. they were so smart, so kind and so Godly. but it seems that they're so dominated by engineering students.one time when i accompany my bestfriend to her class in ES64(strength of materials), she encouraged me to seat in. even though i was so much ashamed of sitting in the classroom with the people i do not know, i just entered the room. anyways i thought i could learn something. we were late already so when i entered the room, seems like lots of people's eyes are on me. thank God  their instructor didn't approach nor asked me. the class discussion flow smoothly and eventhough i cannot relate to their discussion i guess i've learned something and that was how to become an engineering student. there i realized that being an MSU engineering student is very much difficult. i'm just blessed that i didn't become an engineering student. it's such a boring course (sori sa mga engineering) hehe. but i admire those who endure the pains and sacrifices just to become an engineer ..two thumbs up for you. :)
After i graduate from nursing school, i want to take up premed subjects at MSU-GSC just for one semester so that eventhough i couldn't take up National Medical Admission Test at least when the opportunity comes for me to be able to proceed in medicine it would be much easier.. hope to see again my new found friend in MSU- GSC. :)

Proposed Batch Name

My eyes already wanted to close automatically but i still have to dedicatedly work with my task. That is to research for our batch name. I was brainstorming with myself when my co-applicant suggested that we would have the PEGASUS, i searched for it but i wasn't satisfied with it's symbolism so when i found that GRIFFIN sounds good i chose it. hope the chaps would accept our batch name so i would no longer stay up late just to search for another name. :)
Here's the draft of the proposed batch name:

The Eagle and the Lion
The griffin, griffon, or gryphon is a legendary creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. As the lion was traditionally considered the king of the beasts and the eagle was the king of the birds, the griffin was thought to be an especially powerful and majestic creature. In antiquity it was a symbol of divine power and a guardian of the divine. Some have suggested that the word griffin is cognate with Cherub. The griffin has served many purposes, including but not limited to "the vigilant guardian of treasure and of kings. It has been called "The Hounds of Zeus".
It has pulled the chariots of Pharaoh, Apollo, Nemesis, and Alexander the Great. A major heraldic animal, it has been emblazoned on the shields of knights and on the coats of arms and royalty. It has been watchful and loyal, graceful and swift, rapacious and vengeful, monstrous and divine. While the griffin is a mortal enemy of horses, its magic talons have detected poison and its feathers have cured blindness.
Winged lions are not true griffin, nor is the winged lion of the sea. All of them, though - along with countless other hybrid variations - are 'gryphonic.'" The three spellings for griffin are - gryphon, griffin and griffon.
Infrequently, a griffin is portrayed without wings, or a wingless eagle-headed lion is identified as a griffin; in 15th-century and later heraldry such a beast may be called an alce or a keythong.
The griffin is a mythical creature, with the head, wings and talons of an eagle and the body and hind legs of a lion. It is thus composed of the most royal of the birds and the beasts. The griffin was thought to find and guard mines of gold and hidden treasures. It is a principal device in heraldry, signifying valor, strength, vigilance, and perseverance. The symbolism of the griffin was described by Alexander Nisbet in his System of Heraldry (1722) translated from Latin as: "The griffin represents wisdom joined to fortitude, but wisdom should lead, and fortitude follow." A distinctive feature of the griffin is that it has ears, which are large and stand up from its head. This is the only feature that differentiates a griffin's head from an eagle's. The griffin can be found in all the heraldic positions (segreant, passant, sejant etc.).

Heraldry
In heraldry, a griffin always has forelegs like an eagle's; the beast with forelimbs like a lion's forelegs was distinguished by perhaps only one English herald of later heraldry as the opinicus. The griffin's amalgamation of lion and eagle gains in courage and boldness, and is always drawn to powerful fierce monsters. It is used to denote strength and military courage and leadership. Griffins are portrayed with a lion's body, an eagle's head, long ears, and an eagle's claws, to indicate that one must combine intelligence and strength. In British heraldry, a male griffin is shown with wings, its body covered in tufts of formidable spikes.
Architecture
In architectural decoration the griffin is usually represented as a four-footed beast with wings and the head of an eagle with horns, or with the head and beak of an eagle. Gryphon statues mark the entrance to the City of London.
History

Depiction of griffins can be found in the 15th century BC frescoes in the Throne Room of the Bronze Age Palace of Knossos, as restored by Sir Arthur Evans. It continued being a favored decorative theme in Archaic and Classical Greek art.
In Central Asia the griffin appears about a thousand years after Bronze Age Crete, in the 5th-4th century BC, probably originating from the Achaemenid Persian Empire. The Achaemenids considered the griffin "a protector from evil, witchcraft and secret slander".

Later griffins, lacking wings, were found on the island of Crete at the Palace of Minos at Knossos. These griffins are frescos, painted into wet plaster and brilliantly colored. They "protected kings and drew chariots of goddesses".

Year 2020: Year of Closure and New Beginnings

Yup. I decided to resign. I felt that, I will only be 28 once and at this age, I should have found my lifetime partner already. Getting preg...
