ASEAN Dress Party

We might be too excited for the Association of Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN) Integration next year because of our ASEAN themed Christmas Party. It was so cumbersome for us to look for dresses or costumes because there are very few stores here in Koronadal City selling dresses that we are looking for. Some dresses are for rent but very expensive. Everybody was so stressed preparing for this party.  There was a time when some people already gave up and just settled for what they have. I also thought it wouldn't end up the way it should be but when the night came everyone was surprising. Everybody looked great in their outfit and I was so happy. Also, from the backdrop, to the lanterns, to the costumes and to the foods are so ASEAN. It might not be as authentic as what we want but it was good enough for our simple party. Truly, everything can be achieved no matter how difficult it may seem if we persevere.

Here are the top 8 best dressed. Who would expect I'd be one of them. I was also shock when my name was called. I didn't win the best dressed by I was still so glad. At least some people appreciate my outfit. lol.

After the awarding, we had a group presentation contest and we won the second prize.  

Our concept was retro. That explains the costume.

It was a great night to celebrate the Lord's coming. I hope next year would be more bountiful.

Movie Date with the Gang

Yes, we're busier this year  because we are having more patients, our company is getting bigger and also we are blessed with a good marketing officer that made us more popular. Busy means more work to do and having some break is not a luxury. 

All work and no play makes the boy dull and since we don't want to be dull I'm happy that Santa Claus aka The Boss is giving us a treat  and taking us to a movie date. It's still Metro Manila Film Festival on the first week of January that is why we watched Kubot: The Aswang Chronicles. I am not fond of watching Filipino movies ( sareee) unless the reviews are extremely good but Kubot is just for fun and it's free so I went out with the Gang. The week after we also watched Taken 3 (my fave) and that makes my week again.

Heart Station Christmas Party

For the love of cardiology, I tried my luck at being a cardiac technician and praise God I found my niche. Though it was an uphill climb , I am glad that after more than two years I am still having the same job I landed since October 8, 2012.What's even greater about this career  is that I am not just enclosed in the four corners of our clinic but I also get connected with the other  heart station staffs within this city. This is also because of our one and only mighty cardiologist here in South Cotabato, Doc J. In celebration of a one great year of caring for our dear  patients' heart, Doc J. gathered all the heart station staff for a one awesome night at Sheila's Park where every food is sumptuous and the KTV makes you sing even louder and better because of its amazing speaker.

KDCI Anniversary 2014

This might be a long overdue post but I won't let this year end without sharing with you my wonderful experience at the White Haven Beach Resort, Gumasa, Sarangani Province.

Please excuse the coconut shells and the not so blue sea because when we went to Sarangani there was an upcoming low pressure area. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the beach.
