Fireworks Display in Tacurong City

Fireworks display is one of the best activities in Tacurong that I always observe with my family and friends. During the display me and my high school friends also plan for the reunion. We gather at the plaza to watch the Light a Tree Project initiated by the city's vice mayor. It is a competition inviting all private and project sectors to make a Belen or light a tree for tourist attraction. It's also called Inugyunay Festival.  The sector that will present the best will win a cash. This year, there was no light a tree or Belen because the cash prize that supposedly be given to winners was donated to the victims of Bagyong Sendong in Iligan City and Cagayan de Oro City. Even without the festival people are still rooming around the plaza because of the food and concerts and many other activities.

Mark and Mariel were discussing regarding their food. haha

my nephew Mark
This is my nephew Mark. He's the son of my brother Mel. For me  he is very much special and fragile. Must not be left alone and must always be monitored. Her mom had difficulty giving birth to him. He was also born with G6PD. Gladly, the newborn screening at that time was already available so we were able to prevent his disease from getting worst. Though he's a very active and playful child, he always get sick. His parents have to  bring him always to the pediatrician because of his condition. He's restricted to take some medicines (aspirin, sulfonamides)  and foods. He must not eat anything that contains soy sauce, peanuts, mongo, and flava beans because he is hypersensitive to them  When we eat barbecue we don't let him have a stick because if he eats anything contraindicated his eyes will have rashes.

Mark has found a new friend
While I'm following my dear nephew playing in the plaza I found this little boy keeps on hugging my nephew.

with my close friend Erwin na isang seminarista
I'm always asking him if he really wants to become a priest because I want him to become one. Sometimes, when the conversation gets serious I just tease him to send my regards to his cutest friends in the formation house.. :) hehe

At around 10:00 pm the most awaited event for the night started. It was short but fabulous.

Sana next year ulit. :) #

High School Batch Meeting

Since our high school graduation in the year 2008, I was already the one who initiates the annual batch reunion. Some say we should hold it five years after the graduation so that we will really see the difference but for me I don’t think it will work. If we hold the reunion five years after, we will no longer be able to see some of our classmates. Maybe at that time some are already married, some are busy with work, and some might be abroad.

As batch president I always make sure that every time I go home for a vacation we spend time together but of course our official reunion is every December 26 of the year. The fireworks display in Tacurong City is held every December 23 of the year. Most of us watch the fireworks display every year that is why we also hold our meeting for the reunion every December 23. This day, since some of us won’t make it to the fireworks display and some are also busy with their personal business, we decided to have the meeting in the afternoon before the fireworks display. The meeting was held at Dave’s residence at Brgy. Grino, Tacurong City.

Thank you Dave for the pancit. You're really great !:)

kathy and kyla
Kathy is already a registered midwife. We always get connected when the topics revolves around obstetrics. Thank God I have a friend to ask whenever I'm confused. I'm not really good in Maternal and Child Nursing. Kyla is taking up Accounting Technology in SKSU.

bamsy
A bouncy and loud fun to be with nursing student like me. We call her Bama or Bamsy but her real name is Cristine. She studies at USM.

with my bff Joan
Jo-an is also a student nurse like me. She's also graduating in March and we hope to pass the board exam together. Every time I'm blue I always count on her.

jan2
Jan2 is my closest male friend. I easily get mad but when he's around he just laugh at me teasing me that I'm acting like an aged woman. In this pic he's peeling the papaya I brought. I just really love anything that can be dipped in vinegar.

samuel and benz
Samuel wants to become a police so he's now taking up BS Criminology. They have buy and sell business so I asked him to be in charged with our service for the reunion. Good that he agreed. He's really the kind of person that you can rely on. I don't know much about Benz. My class mate told me that he's experiencing a great challenge tnow but despite it he's still showing a strong personality. Hope he's always doing well.

Originally, we planned to hold the reunion on December 25 since Jennica, our classmate who studies in Davao City has to come back on Dec. 26 for her on the job training but during the meeting I realized that lots of our batch mates will have their family reunions in 25 so their schedule is in conflict. I was really so stressed at that time because I do not know how to settle it. I wait till evening of the fireworks display when some of my classmates who were not able to attend the afternoon meeting could help me solve the problems with the schedule. More are not available on 26 so we just decided to pursue the reunion on 25 even some batch mates wouldn’t make it. As a result fewer were able to come compared to our previous reunion. Nonetheless, they understood the situation and promised to just attend the next reunion.
High school friends are really worth to cherish. We usually share our most naughty moments with them. Most happy moments are experienced in high school. No pressure, no fear, no doubt just fun and adventure. Plus high school friends are only blocks away from home compared to college friends so they’re really easier to reach out. I can never say that my high school friends are better than my college friends because they are different people. My experience with my high school friends are a lot far from my college friends. Maybe it’s just more fun to remember high school memories because in there, our first crush, first love and sometimes first heartache suddenly sprout making the years more exciting.

Hope you also had a wonderful high school years!!! :) #

With Dear Sistahs

I passed by the City Health Office to accompany my uncle in his regular check-up then after that my sisters and I went to Koronadal City to buy some stuffs for Christmas. This was our first time to hang out together so we really cherished the moment. We never know in the near future some of us will be living or working somewhere around the globe so while still young we really tried to experience each others company and it was just FUN :)

with angry bird balloons at the back. was trying to look angry and mataray but can't help to smile.. haha. :)

My sisters are the best of all my friends. Though we are having conflicts for sometimes still blood is thicker than water. Spending time with them is simply awesome and even I'll be given a chance to turn back time and be born again I'll still choose to live with them as my sisters because they were really kind and understanding. Thankful to Him for giving them to me. I had a wonderful family :)... #
