I'm now an IMPULSE member

 

i never had an experience in debate. with busy schedule since i step into college i never gave my self a chance to expand my learning. even other people say that i have a potential in debate i never had the courage to  undergo screening in the ROSTRUM the official debate team of our university. now that i'm already in fourth year, despite my busy schedule and stressful instructor i'll take the courage to expand my knowledge in debate, the screening was done through an extemporaneous speaking. we are given 30sec. only to prepare and then 3-5 minutes to speak.  i was the last to speak so all my anxiety already fade away as i speak in the lectern. as i listen to my co-applicants, i was so amazed at the same time proud of them. they were just freshmen yet they're already experienced and excellent in speaking. i somehow envy them because they were able to maximize their time in high school and took chance to enhance their skills in public speaking. in my case i spent more time in writing because during my his school days i was the editor in chief of our school paper. in the first place we do not have  debate club in high but if i were to decide i'd like to join both and be good in both writing and speaking.

THBT social networking sites gives more ill effects than good effects.

.. this was the topic given to me yesterday. i don't think it is much challenging as with the other topics given to other applicants but i'm very happy that i was able to defend my side as an opposition.seeing this post in the college really makes me happy. it also serve as an inspiration to me to continue expanding my horizon. that i must not only enclose my talents and skills in nursing but also in other fields that in one way o another not only develop my abilities but also my personality and perception with social issues.

sir ash said that nursing students in our college have no problem in grammar, pronunciation, accent, and diction  but our weakness is in reasoning. even though we have an idea about the topic we are not that good in presenting it orderly. logic i very important. i just hope despite the short time i will learn a lot in this experience. may i become the pride of our college. i know i have to face this squarely. i know other colleges' participants were so good but i do believe that there is still chance for us. WE CAN DO BETTER! Aja IMPULSE :)
