Intramuros 2014

Being a probinsyana for 22 years, I never experienced to live in Manila for more than a week. And the news on TV were so drastic that I said to myself :I never wanted to live in Manila! But there are good places in Manila that we can never experience in the province and one of those is ---Intramuros. The place that can remind you of the Filipino history and the place that can make you feel more Filipino sa isip, sa diwa at sa gawa. If only high school students in our place could afford to go there I would recommend this as a good place for educational tour. I never felt this patriotic but it feels great. :D

My first day in Metro M was spent in Intramuros. It's my second time to visit this "old pueblo" but this itme is more exciting than the first because my first Intramuros visit was spent by just riding the bus and I had no time to wander much. So these are the photos.

Thanks to my very good friend, a smart guy from UP Manila for accompanying us and for taking these great pictures.

San Agustin Church in Intramuros. One of the oldest churches in the Philippines. I once dreamed of having my wedding here but when I realized it would cost 30K for just reservation alone I told myself I better save more first. lol.

The famous Manila Cathedral. I really want to go inside. Sadly, it's closed.

There's always fun and learning in travel. Though it's expensive, it's worth it. Much more when you do it with people who are special to you like your friends and family. It's a good way to spend your precious time. They say travel while you can, as far as you can and as long as you can. There's a joy in it that you could bring in your journey through life.
