Araw ng Lanao 2009

I'm missing college days and blogging and this post is an ultimate backlog but I hope you'll still like it.

During my college days I lived in the university hostel and since there is no affordable hotel in Marawi City unlike in metropolitan cities, VIPs  are usually accommodated  in the hostel and that means we got a chance to be with them. Last 2009 the Araw ng Lanao was celebrated with the Philippine Basketball League members as imports. Each municipality must has a basketball team to represent their place in the basketball games and if they would hire basketball superstars they have to house them. Some were housed in the hostel and we were so happy. I was not really a basketball fan until I was able to watch the game live and even the gym was so full I still made an effort to watch and I was shouting like crazy during the games. I can't help myself. lol. Whilst college life is toxic I was glad I had crazy moments like this before. Moments that made me happy and moments that I wouldn't forget. :)

with Kuya Alfie Grijaldo. He is now happily married with one child. Perhaps he doesn't remember us already even we're friends in facebook. I just hope he is doing well and is still having a great career in basketball.

with Erwin Sta. Maria. Look at us. So messy. Parang baluga. First year palang kami niyan. Kung saan saang bukid ng Mindanao nanggaling and Sir Erwin is just like us nakapambahay. Isn't it great? We think basketball players are just like celebrities who are so famous unreachable but not in this picture na parang pare preho lang kami. haha.

I forgot the name of this other guy. Whoever he is I'm happy we've been friends.

Remember this two towers? Ang lilit talaga namin. Hindi lang man umabot sa kili kili nila. Bungisngis talaga kami kasi super habol kami sa kanila maka kuha lang ng picture. :)

I was so hilarious during these days. I haven't realize I am already a college student because the experience was so full of fun. Please forgive the quality of the photos. They were just taken through mobile phone. Digital cameras were so expensive that time.  :)

Hope you had a crazy memorable college days too.

SUPER 92

My doctor is out for more than a week and that means no patients and  STRESS FREE weekdays plus sneak lunch break at the some friend's house :)

Yesterday was a blast since we were able to attend the birthday of  Ate Lizette. We were welcomed warmly in their beautiful home. Aside from their amiable family, smiling children and yummy foods we were also able to hear beautiful stories from the mother of the birthday girl, Ate Lolita. Ate Lolita was a retired teacher and a mother of three. While eating our lunch she shared to us how they were raised by her loving parents and that's when I started to admire her mother Lola Maria even more who is still amazingly beautiful and healthy at the age of 92.

The very beautiful Lola Maria

Lola Maria together with her husband was able to raise her seven children very well and was even able to send them all  to college. Some of them were engineers and teachers. Even with lots of children she was able to do all the household chores like washing and ironing clothes without a housemaid. Amazingly until now she still manage to take care of herself in her humble home separate from her children. Even she can do things on her won her family doesn't leave her alone they always make sure a grandchild or someone matured enough is with her and that is so heartwarming because nowadays children no longer want to take care of their elders. They just leave them to the home for the aged which is for me not good I think taking care of them is the greatest way of loving them back.

The amiable Ate Lolita

The wanderers with three generations of great people.

Let's eat fresh buko :) You know how I love buko :)

At Lola Maria's house.

Inside the clinic. Feeling Maria Mercedes kami no?

Lola Maria is such a happy and great woman. She was such an inspiration. When I grow old I wish to be like her. Growing gracefully. Hope to see her celebrate many more birthdays. 92 is awesome but 93 is more awesome :)

UPSET

If you have issues about expressing negative feelings online just press ALT tab. But if you're also crazy like me just scroll down. This is CRAZY. I am going incredibly CRAZY. Arggghhhh. I'm  letting go of the negative vibes through this blog knowing that through this i'll find relief and hoping that you might also learn from me.

"He who learns but does not think is lost. He who thinks but does not learn is in great danger."-unknown

And I'm in GREAT danger.

That photo above is a the cover of my notebook way back high school. That only costs 8 pesos. So cheap isn't it? Yes because I wasn't born rich. Anyways, no matter how cheap that is that's so dear to me because that reminds me of who I am. Someone who keeps on thinking but doesn't learn, Tamad kasi.

I'm feeling upset because I handled a patient with a cardiac case. I've handled a patient with the same case before so I must be good at it already but in turned out the other way. I forgot the procedure. My emotions and frustrations went high and my mind went nowhere to be found. I was so upset that I was nearly messing up during the procedure. It's because I never REVIEW and I'm blaming myself.

It was NEVER easy to be a nurse. NEVERRRRR!!!!! But that's the challenging part of being a nurse. I'm just crossing my finger that the cardio won't get mad at me because of my craziness.

Lesson learned. So today I make a promise to read my notes every night and not just dedicate my time to 50 Shades of Freedom. (Who read fifty shades? A movie will be released next year!)

To all the nurses out there, my salute to all of you. The art of emotional control,of not showing your frustrations to your patient so the patient wouldn't worry is greatly a skill to be learned. How I wish I'll learn them fast.

NURSE ON DUTY

Since I'm so hooked with my job these past few days I also want to share with you some of my moments at work. Despite the busy days at least we were able to squeeze some time to take pictures :)

Say hello to our new uniforms. Every Monday and Thursday we are girls in blue and every Tuesday and Friday we are girls in red. Just funny we were mistaken as employees at the Generics Pharmacy when we wore our red scrub suit one time.

Forgive the messy table, cabinet and everything. We're on the process of having-some- sort-of-rest after we got our new filing cabinet made by our dearest kuya panoy.
Also forgive the haggard look and the messy hair. This was taken after our long day at work.

With Ma'am Pawee. The ever funny, ever crazy medical sales representative we befriend.

This is how we study at work. Full of something to eat. :)

Hope you're also having a good time at work. :)

Please leave comments to show me some love <3

When You're Down

Whenever you're greatly frustrated and  pissed off and in doubt and worried to the nth power cause you're not sure if you can do it right and you have no one to turn to but yourself, be strong and say:

Worrying won't make you even better. It will make you bitter. So instead of pulling your hair until it gets so messy, try to fix it up and think logically to figure out what to do with the things that bother you. Be problem centered and not emotion centered. But just in case you almost lose you sanity, sit down and  relax. Cry if you want to. Shout if you can to release all those crazy emotions that burn inside you. Allow yourself to be sad and after you release all the pain start a brand new day with optimism,
 You can do it!

Year 2020: Year of Closure and New Beginnings

Yup. I decided to resign. I felt that, I will only be 28 once and at this age, I should have found my lifetime partner already. Getting preg...
