I'M 22 AND HAPPY!

I'm 22 and single and happy!

OMG! I'm so old. Old it is but I'm happy because  at twenty three I can already go abroad!!!! But before that exciting trip let us first look back and see what I've been through in this past 22 year of my journey in this so called LIFE.

*Been enrolled in the daycare center twice because I wasn't accepted in  Grade I. The teacher told Nanay that though I already know how to read and write I'm still underage. I was five years old then.

* Been enrolled in Grade I at the age of six and first time to be in that Big school. Had lots of playmates friends, enemies and frenemies. I was bullied but I survived. I got the first rank in academics but I did not understand the importance of good grades that time. I just enjoyed learning.

*Had my first painful experience in Grade three when my Grandma passed away. I was absent for two weeks but gladly I  still managed to have good grades.

*Graduated with highest honors in elementary being the best in all subjects except mathematics. I was a consistent honor student since grade I and I was so happy during the graduation day. I prayed God I'll still be at the top of my class in high school and college.

* Gained the second highest score in the entrance examination for freshmen at the alma mater of my elder siblings and been in the first section during my first year. Had my first crush. hehe. He was so smart, so talented, so funny, so attractive that I kept on thinking about him every night but then my crush went away. He transferred to another school and we lost communication. He's also at the top ten in our class but I was smarter than him. I was the top 1. lol.

*My high school years are so colorful, so exciting, so memorable and I felt such an achiever back then. I was a member of the student council for four years. I became the vice governor, governor, vice president and president. I was able to attend leadership training and seminars in school and also in Baguio when my first time to ride the plane was so great. My first Luzon adventure ever. Been in math olympics, and schools press conferences and intramurals, and quiz shows and everything in between were awesome.

*Graduated with highest honors in high school being the best in all subjects except mathematics. Been the academic excellence awardee, leadership awardee, and journalist of the year.

*Since I'm not good in Math I disregard my dream to become a CPA- lawyer instead I enroll at the Mindanao State University as a scholar of the Development Bank of the Philippines.

*Had a hard time dealing with difficult people, difficult subjects, hectic schedules, crazy weather and crazy foods in college.Learned to go to school without breakfast. Learned facebook and farmville. Been a student, an average student, an average loser student. Did not join any organization and competition. Did not care about the student council and the student publication. Forgot the journalist and the leader in me. I was not popular. I was not the best. But I passed my subjects and survived the first year in college and was able to adapt to the crazy environment and that explains how crazy I am today. lol.

*Met people from all walks of life from VIPs to the poorest in the communities and realized that I'm the most blessed person in the whole wide universe for I am in between. I did not experience the hardest of hardships of others. I had enough heartaches to make me strong and enough happiness to make me appreciate life as awonderful gift.

*Strived hard to be more deserving to the free education given to me by the Republic of the Philippines. Earned higher grades and became a dean's lister. Became a member of the renowned semi-academic organization in MSU which is the Student League for Academic Advancement and Progress (SLAAP). Been a member of the college debating team which is Impulse Debate Society. Been a champion in the intercollegiate parliamentary debate championship. Been the Debater of the Year. Graduated Cum Laude with the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Passed the board exam with the rating of 80+%. I did not top the board but still feel so blessed.

*Been into heartbreak once though I've never been in a relationship. Because moving on even you've not been together is trending. lol

* Been a volunteer nurse at the rural health unit and now working in a well established medical institution at the heart of Mindanao.

I had the best life EVER. I still have heartaches. I still have doubts. I'm still dreaming and I'm still hoping. I'm praying for more happiness and I pray that you also have a blessed life like me.

Count your blessings you might have a better life than me. :)
